Your Career with SCE
SCE employs high caliber qualified engineers/technicians in various engineering disciplines with the aim to provide a high standard of services to their clients. Young graduates will acquire an in-depth understanding of engineering and technical resources, the inter-dependency between concept and detailed design engineering. SCE’s projects will expose them to latest technologies and will offer them the opportunity to gain experience in terms of design, detailing, construction, installation, commissioning, operation and maintenance. Understanding the demands of both the global and local commercial markets and the interaction thereof will be essential.

Internship
SCE follows a policy to provide internship opportunities to engineering students in the various engineering fields and encourages previously disadvantaged individuals who are successfully enrolled at a tertiary engineering institution to apply for internships. It must however be understood that only a limited number of students can be accommodated per annum also considering that SCE bursary students will receive preference.

• Internships are offered for periods of 12 months, 6 months and winter holiday (4 to 6 weeks) pending on the requirement of the respective tertiary institutions.
• Applications must be submitted in advance for the anticipated internship period

 Bursaries

Financial assistance is offered from time to time via The Elongo Trust to students who excel in their respective fields of engineering study and who have successfully completed the initial two years of study.
